Cingular started offering the V600 on their website this pas weekend. At $149 after rebate, its a steal.
I bought my mine unlocked from mPhone in the UK for a small fortune. They didn't charge me VAT, and were able to overnight it to me which was great. After a couple weeks of using the phone without issue, the message waiting indicator failed to turn off after I retrieved messages. I called our Cingular B2B rep, and he put me in touch with a c guy in Cingular's network group. That guy told me that Cingular had just approved their version of the V600 software, and that I could send it to a guy at Motorola. He flashed the software for me to Cingular's software (that was about 6 weeks ago).
What can I say; I love the phone! I lost Monopoly that I had on the European software build for "Bejeweled" which is a terrible game, but other than that, I can't complain.
As for the Flex question between the V400 and V600, the software looks identical except for the Bluetooth support (my wife has the V400). Bluetooth is a radio, and has additional hardware [chip(s)] not present in the V400.
Hope this helps.
