I've got a P900 which all of a sudden has started to restart itself. The first time I had the phone next to me and I heard it beep. I looked and the phone restarted. After I entered my codes, it said it restarted to enhance performance. This has happened a few times since. Why is this happening? Is there something wrong with the phone? If so, then I still have my warrenty.

Read that there might be problems with software not being able to run if I update.
How true is this? I have invested in quite a lot of software that I don't want to have problems with if I upgrade.

if u go 2 the SE site, then click global support, enter in ur model num (p900), it'll then bring u 2 a page, from this page click update service, before attempting this u should make sure that there are no firewalls running, as this can make the update un-operational

Well I got it updated. I must say, there is room for improvement on this.
I had some problems getting the phone to update. It comes out and asks me to turn off the
phone and have it in its cradle. I answer yes and then it says its going to turn the phone
on and off. When it turns on, the phone asks for on, flight mode etc. The previous msg
said don't touch the phone so I wait and wait and wait. Finally I get bored and press 1 to
turn the phone on and get the pin prompt. Then the phone turns off and the update
continues with downloading. Then when its time to update the phone, I get the msg that
there waas an error with communicating with the phone. After 2 tries, I decided to leave
the phone alone and then it worked.
The only real complaint is that it takes soooo looong to update.
Anyway, phone is updated and apps seem to work so far. Will see if my restarting
problem still exists.
Thanks for your replies and suggestions

Well I thought the upgrade that I did would have fix my problem but "Too good to be true".
I was in the process of updating an entry in my phone book when the system restarted with
the message that it was restarting to enhance performance.
Can anyone explain why this is happening?
Is this something the phone has to do for some "whatever" reason?
Kind of annoying when you are in the process of doing something. It use to happen when
I wasn't using the phone. I would just hear a beep and when I looked at he phone, it wanted
the sim code and then it said it restarted to enhance performance.
This is the first time it has happened while I was using the phone.
