ok I have flashed my phone with e70xdwj1 which is a sim free non badged firmware which firmware can I update it to and still not have the branded start up shut down logo

Yes you can if you flash to a unbranded one 
These are the ones i know:
E70XA = Unbranded Europe
E70AI = Branded TIM (Italian)
E70BB = Branded I9 (I Dunno)
E70XD = Unbranded (As you said)

thankyou , I had a previous post with a wap problem where phone restarted , it was fixed with firmware upgrade to e70bbda2 , but i dont like the i9 start up so I am now going to flash an unbranded newer version that will hopefully still work with my wap problem
so far I have found
e70abda1 branded orange
e7obbda2 branded i9
e7oxdwj1 unbranded
i am just flashing e70aewki so will update what this one is

Thanks , I am in the middle of flashing that one now
by the way I flashed e70aewki and it was sfr abientot , French
hopefully this flash will be the one I am looking for , thanks for your help Don 1 really appreciate it

Ok excellent I flashed XADA1 and now wap works and it is a sim free start up and shut down screen , thanks !
